Reliance Coaches (Alec Head), started business when Alec Head bought two 29 seater
coaches in 1955.

The
picture of the left shows an Albion coach with Alec Head and his
father, Tom. Shortly after this picture was taken, a Comma two stroke
coach was added to the fleet.
From
the start, the family concentrated on quality service and still
retain entire control of the business.

By 1960
this Bedford 41 seat coach had been added to the fleet for long
distance, luxury journeys. It was fitted with "sky line"
windows, high back seats and all bumpers were fully chromed. The
livery was cream, light blue and dark blue.
It
was a major purchase but resulted in strong customer allegiance.
Some of those early customers still ride with us today!

Sadly, Alec Head died in 1996.
The business is now run by his wife June, son
Tony (General Manager) and
daughter Sandra (Company Secretary).
